Elke Schaper is a co-founder and the head of Software Engineering for CARBON DELTA.
She is responsible for the gradual implementation and development of risk models, continuous updates to the database-infrastructure, methods of model validation, and reliable performance. Previously Elke worked several years as a data scientist on public research projects. Her work encompassed modeling and analysis of complex systems, efficient calculation of high-performance-clusters, statistical analysis, mechanical learning and providing open-source-software libraries. Elke received her Ph.D. in Bioinformatics at the ETH Zürich. She is excited to develop quantitative models of the effect of climate change in the real world.
