Swiss Cleantech

As Carbon Delta’s core business is linked to sustainable development, Swiss Cleantech provides the opportunity to network and learn from companies sharing the same vision.

SwissCleantech is a Cleantech Business Association. Its mission is to support Swiss cleantech businesses in their quest of leading worldwide cleantech markets and to support Switzerland in becoming an international Cleantech leader and contribute to sustainable development at a global level.


Being the world’s most renowned institute on climate impact research, the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research provides Carbon Delta with both data to incorporate into the ratings model as well as advice.

PIK addresses crucial scientific questions in the fields of global change, climate impacts and sustainable development. Researchers from the natural and social sciences work together to generate interdisciplinary insights and to provide society with sound information for decision making.


CARBON DELTA is the winner of the Climate Innovation Award 2016 and a part of the Climate Market Accelerator (CMA) program which brings together the suppliers and end-users of climate innovations.

Climate-KIC identifies, develops and brings to market climate change innovations. It is the most credible and practical climate change network in Europe, bringing together the most influential and commercially-minded player in the climate change space.


Carbon Delta is part of the accelerator program of innovate4climate, which combines knowledge, resources, tools and coaching for cleantech start-ups.

I4C is a joint initiative developed by Climate-KIC and its affiliate partners WWF Switzerland, Impact Hub Zürich and BlueLion. By pooling resources, expertise and networks, I4C wants to give a boost to climate entrepreneurship and catalyse entrepreneurial solutions for the environment’s largest problems.


As a member, Carbon Delta is working to promote sustainability in the financial sector.

Forum Nachhaltige Geldanlagen (FNG), is an industry association promoting sustainable investment in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It has over 150 corporate members and around 30 individual members.

Zurich Carbon Market Association

Being part of the ZCMA, Carbon Delta gets the opportunity to network and share knowledge with companies that share similar values.

The Zurich Carbon Market Association (Zurich CMA) is a non-political membership organisation interested in the evolution of sustainability focused and high-quality carbon markets with the aim to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions.

Impact HUB Zurich

Carbon Delta is a proud member of the co-working space provided by Impact HUB Zurich and a regular participant of the climate co-working sessions, an accelerator program targeting climate entrepreneurs.

Impact HUB Zurich is about the power of innovation through collaboration. Hubs are uniquely designed spaces that provide a creative environment as well as a professional infrastructure to work, meet, learn and connect.

Swiss Finance Startups

Carbon Delta is a proud member of the SFS network, gaining education, exposure, support and networking with similar startups.

The Swiss Finance Startups (SFS) wants to foster the common Swiss startup spirit, support the exchange of ideas as well as industry know-how and help to educate the outside, non-startup, world about brilliant ventures.

The venture leaders jury has selected the first Fintech Team of the venture leaders history – the ‘Swiss National Startup Team’.

The 10 selected entrepreneurs reflect the acceleration of the Swiss fintech scene in the recent years and the impressive quality of its startups. They took part in a high-powered business and financing roadshow in New York City which offered market exposure, feedback from investors and experts, and hands-on business development.

For this award, European FinTech companies were nominated by stakeholders, users and experts. Our co-founder, Elke Schaper, pitched in front of the panel of judges which consisted of seasoned investors, academics, innovation leads and bankers with an extensive track record in the rapid changing world of finance.

Over 1200 social enterprises applied to UBS Social Innovators 2016. 34 took part in regional bootcamps and CARBON DELTA was selected to take part in the regional Finals.

In July 2016, UBS launched a search for Social Innovators in three regions (Switzerland, Europe Middle East and Africa and Asia-Pacific) who would benefit the most from access to the unique network and expertise of UBS, the world's leading wealth manager.

The Venture Competition takes place over nine country heats, in which Europe's most promising start-ups are filtered out. The 15 finalists are selected based upon their potential to become successful commercial entities capable of mitigating or adapting to climate change.

The Swiss Fintech award, an initiative by the Finanz & Wirtschaft Forum, supports Switzerland’s Fintech startup ecosystem and promotes regional development. A jury selected the top ten businesses out of over 60 applications.

CARBON DELTA was named one of the top six climate efficiency startups and won a one month bootcamp as well as a trip to Silicon Valley in San Francisco.

The initiative SAFT challenges early stage startups that act in the fields of smart cities, energy efficiency and distributed generation. With the challenge they want to advance Switzerland’s transition to a sustainable energy system by 2050.

Innovate4climate (I4C) is a joint initiative developed by Climate-KIC and its affiliate partners WWF Switzerland and Impact Hub Zürich. I4C is the Swiss implementation of the Climate-KIC accelerator and comprises of a variety of initiatives, including a three stage accelerator programme.
